Universal Releases Redesigned and Enhanced UVflightplanner.com
Redesign Reduces Clicks and Eliminates Need for Multiple Applications
Houston (Dec. 4, 2008) – Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. announced recently that it released a redesigned and enhanced version of its online flight planning software UVflightplanner.com(sm), providing users more functionality and services without ever having to leave the application.
"We listened to our clients and responded to their needs by adding benefits and functionality to UVflightplanner.com(sm)," said Randy Stephens, Senior Director, Specialty Products. "We've incorporated the workflow process of our clients into the design so that the site works the way they work. You can now accomplish multiple tasks without having to go to another application. For instance, you can get a fuel quote, schedule handling at one of our Universal Aviation(sm) ground services locations, view UVTripPlanner(sm) airport data, view weather maps, and see leg requirements all from within one window."
Stephens said the new interface is intuitive and will save time by eliminating unnecessary clicks and the need to have multiple applications running simultaneously.
"We've taken a lot of steps out of the process, so you don't have to do a lot of digging," he explained. "We've built intelligence into the product, so the application actually thinks for you. Now when you enter a destination ICAO, you will automatically see weather and airport information for that location all in one window."
The redesigned site also offers more options for selecting flight plans as it gives clients the choice to pick from a stored route or generate a new route.
"There's no need to exit UVflightplanner.com(sm) for more information. Simply input your departure and arrival airports and UVflightplanner.com(sm) automatically anticipates your needs throughout the flight planning process," said Stephens. "We value their time and this tool will allow our clients to work on their own schedule when they want to work."
New features include:
- Runway Analysis
- CFMU/ RAD compliant
